Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the mobile game Rite of Shadows (package com.riteofshadows.app) processes and what your rights are. The data controller is the game's developer, Dawid Szadurski, contact: dawid.szadurski@gmail.com.
Summary
- No ads, no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or location.
- Only what is needed for online play, leaderboards and progress sync is sent to our server.
- You can download or delete your data at any time from inside the game.
Data we process

Camera
The game may request camera access solely to scan a friend's challenge QR code. The camera image is analysed on the device only and is never uploaded or stored.
Data stored on your device
Settings, progress and the current match are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the game removes them.
Legal basis and retention
We process data to provide the game service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and diagnostic reports based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Profile data is kept until you delete your account; diagnostic reports for 30 days.
Sharing
We do not sell data or share it for marketing. Data is stored with infrastructure providers acting as processors: game server hosting (Railway) and database (MongoDB). Google Play Games sign-in is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/WSS).
Your rights and data deletion
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the game: Settings → Privacy → "Download my data" or "Delete my data" (permanently removes your profile and results from the server). Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
Changes
We will announce material changes in the game or on this page and update the effective date.
